Children then created poems titled: I saw a vision. They had to record their visions for a new Manchester - we recorded them over a video that was filmed by Craig Murfin. Take a look at the final outcome:
Breaking News in the Potion Poacher case!, by Mrs Fitzsimons
Date: 26th Nov 2015 @ 1:25pm
Unfortunately Detective Brown has been taken ill, so he has requested that the Reception children (as they were so amazing at examining the crime scene) continue the investigation for him. Three children interviewed Miss Waldron and have revealed some very exciting details about the dragon's size. I think a couple of our suspects can be ruled out!!!

New evidence in the Potion Poacher case - Witness Interview!, by Mrs Fitzsimons
Date: 24th Nov 2015 @ 11:04pm
Detective Brown conducted a suspect line-up, based on some of the key characters in our case (including the 2 pet dragons who had disappeared from the Witches' and Wizards' Workshop on the day of the crime!). The Reception children have started interviewing the dragons and other members of staff.
Today, Detective Brown e-mailed Mrs Fitzsimons with a witness interview video. He interviewed Mrs Whelan, and she noticed some very interesting things indeed! Some of her clues have led the children to rule out one of our key suspects - the shortest dragon in the case has been released from custody as he is shorter than a bird (one of Mrs Whelan's most important statements).
The children have decided they need to interview more staff to get to the bottom of all this!
CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, by Mrs Fitzsimons
Date: 23rd Nov 2015 @ 5:07pm
The staff and children arrived into the Reception classroom this morning, and were shocked by what was awaiting them! The Witches' and Wizards' Workshop was in complete disarray!!! We had to investigate...
During the Good News Assembly, Detective Brown from the Manchester Police Force dropped by with his Forensic Team to search for clues. They found...
The children set to work, investigating for themselves!!! There were two noticeable absences from the scene - our two pet dragons were missing. The children noticed that all of the potion ingredients appeared to have disappeared or have been eaten too! We had to hunt for clues to point us in the right direction of the "Potion Poacher"!
Then an e-mail came through from Mrs Bramhall... She had scanned all of the CCTV cameras around school and found video footage of a suspect!!!
Watch this space...
